Ecclesiastes 3:11

“He has made everything beautiful in its time”

Our Love Story

Once upon a time, in the city of love, there was a handsome man searching for an interesting lady. He kept scrolling, searching, and adding women who caught his attention. Then one night, he came across a profile and decided to send a message.

“Hi, how are you?” he asked.

The lady replied, “Hi, I’m fine!”

And just like that, the love story of Ivan and Gillian began.

It was May 2020, during the pandemic days when people rarely went out for dinners or dates. Ivan and Gillian continued to get to know each other through social media, chatting day and night. At that time, Gillian wasn’t allowed to go out, so their dates remained online, but even through screens, their connection grew stronger with each passing month.

As time went by, Ivan could no longer bear not seeing Gillian in person, so he planned a surprise.

One fine day, on Gillian’s birthday, November 7, Ivan jokingly told her that there was a Foodpanda delivery waiting for her outside. Gillian, thinking he was just teasing, hesitated to go out. Meanwhile, Ivan waited patiently for almost 15 minutes while she was busy working. To prove he was really there, he sent her a photo of the company service car parked outside.

Without another thought, Gillian rushed, put on her mask, and ran outside… only to find Ivan waiting there in person.

And in that moment, what started as a simple “Hi, how are you?” became something much more beautiful: a love story worth telling.

And then came December, the month of their very first dinner date. It was a special night filled with laughter, butterflies, and sweet conversations. As the evening unfolded, Ivan finally said the magic words:

“I love you.”

And with a smile and a heart full of joy, Gillian replied,

“I love you too.”

From that day on, their love story blossomed even more. They went on countless dates, creating memories together, while Ivan consistently showed his love in simple yet thoughtful ways, sending gifts, food, and sweet surprises that made Gillian feel cherished.

As their relationship grew, so did their faith. Together, they became Christians and patiently waited for God’s perfect time for their love story to unfold. They became members of a CCF Dgroup, growing not only in love with each other but also in their relationship with God.

Years passed, and their love only became deeper. Their families grew closer, and together, Ivan and Gillian explored the world, traveling and making beautiful memories hand in hand.

Then came one unforgettable moment while they were on a cruise on May 1, 2026, surrounded by the beauty of the sea and the magic of the journey. On bended knee, Ivan locked eyes with Gillian and finally asked the question she had been waiting for:

“Will you marry me?”

With tears of joy and a heart overflowing with love, Gillian answered,

“Yes!”

And that is the beautiful love story of Ivan and Gillian, a story of patience, faith, friendship, adventure, and a love that only grew stronger with time.

For they believe that love is patient and kind, and they hold on to God’s promise:

“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” – Isaiah 60:22
