Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Our Love Story
Jober:
May 2011. At a youth camp in Ankla, Banigan, Liloy, we first met in the common living area of a single-floor dormitory. I saw Arvie there and offered her some sineguelas. Even though she wasn’t a fan of the fruit, she took it. On the final night of the camp, we finally had the chance to talk and truly get to know each other.
Arvie:
From that moment on, Jober started showing up in the sweetest ways. He sent handwritten letters and always made sure to share food at every youth camp we attended. On the last night of every camp, he would faithfully ask my pastor for permission just to talk to me. Step by step, God was writing our story.
Jober:
I prayed to God every single day. After nearly four years of patient courtship, God finally answered my prayer and gave me her "yes."
Arvie:
While I studied at a university in Zamboanga, Jober stayed in Ipil. Whenever a holiday came, he wouldn't let distance win—traveling early in the morning just to spend one precious day by my side, and heading back late at night. Asking permission from my parents first, he turned our simple routines of exploring historical places, visiting coffee shops, and sharing meals into cherished moments.
Jober:
After Arvie graduated, she moved back to Ipil to work. Soon, we were both living in the same town and serving in the church media and music ministry.
Arvie:
Then, Jober prayed for an opportunity to work overseas, and God answered in 2022. Before leaving, he asked my parents for their blessing and proposed to me with a simple, sincere heart.
Jober:
Distance was our greatest test. Being far apart was tough, but we held on through prayer, growing stronger and choosing each other every single day.
Arvie:
In 2025, Jober came home with a wonderful surprise. Without me knowing, he arrived and planned a beautiful second proposal surrounded by both of our families at a restaurant.
Jober & Arvie:
Time and distance tested our love, but prayer kept us anchored. We know it wasn't just luck—it was God who orchestrated every single step, leading us from a simple meeting in that dormitory to a love that lasts forever
