Our Love Story

Our story actually started long before we even realized it would become something special. Back when I was still a teenager, Marlou had already noticed me, but honestly, I didn’t even notice him at all. Years passed, and somehow life brought both of us to Tagum City. One day, during my cousin’s birthday celebration, we met again. At that time, I already had a few drinks with my tita, so medyo confident and feeling close na. When I saw Marlou, I even asked him to come with me to a boutique so I could choose a swimsuit, but he refused! Gwapo ha? Haha.

Even though nothing super grand happened that night, it became one of the moments we would never forget. We spent the whole evening just laughing, talking, and enjoying time with our family. Looking back now, I think that was the moment everything slowly started. What started as a friendship quickly became something deeper. Marlou became clingy in the sweetest way possible and always wanted me around during family gatherings. He would even say no whenever I told him I wanted to go to bars. Little by little, we became each other’s comfort, favorite person, and safe place.

But our love story was never just simple and easy. We went through a lot of ups and downs together. There were hard days, misunderstandings, struggles, and moments that tested us. Still, every challenge only proved that together, we could face anything. We learned that no problem feels impossible as long as we stay by each other’s side. We started with almost nothing — no experience, no knowledge, and honestly just trying to figure life out together day by day. And even though we know we still have so much to learn, we are proud because we’ve already come so far from who we used to be. Through all the laughter, struggles, growth, and love, we found each other in the most unexpected way. And now, here we are, ready to begin our forever together and create the next chapter of our story as husband and wife.
