Our Love Story

Roland and Hannah first crossed paths at their church in December 2021. While their initial encounter didn't ignite any sparks, the fact that they both shared roots on the same island established a deep, unspoken connection that was waiting to unfold.

God intricately woven every detail of this couple's lives. He assigned Roland to East Sussex, where Hannah lives, which is surprising as it is opposite to Roland's area. This moment became the perfect setting for their relationship to blossom, as they began meeting at coffee shops and sharing lunches, slowly but surely uncovering a deeper connection.

Despite teasing from friends, their feelings remained unspoken for a while, or perhaps they hadn't fully realised their mutual attraction yet. Over time, however, they both fell for each other.

Their relationship was a journey of growth. Facing the challenges of personal development and nurturing their spiritual lives, they found strength in God's love, which kept them going through thick and thin. Navigating cultural differences, beliefs, and attitudes added complexity to their path, but God's grace sustained them through each day. They learned patience and supported each other's growth, making an effort to lift one another, especially during tough times.

Throughout their journey, God's light and presence were with them at every turn, aligning everything. Now, they were brought to a new chapter— marriage.

Their story was not without difficulties; they learned valuable lessons from their experiences as they faced various obstacles. Nonetheless, they remained steadfast in their faith, trusting in each other's potential and remaining hopeful about God's plan for their relationship. They endured every challenge because they understood that God is, was, and always will be with them. Making 1 Corinthians 13:7, which states, "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things," a verse that deeply resonates with them.
